I am a dance artist in Champaign, IL who lives at the intersection of technique, storytelling, and social change. My background is in musical theatre, jazz, and modern dance—studying Horton, Graham, Cunningham, and Limon—but has since grown to embrace other dance forms, somatic practices, and yoga as powerful tools for connection and growth.
I hold an M.S. in Kinesiology with a certificate in Anti-racism, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leadership from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, a BFA in Dance Performance from Missouri State University, and I’m currently pursuing my MFA in Choreography at Jacksonville University. My research asks: How can movement spark dialogue, build empathy, and create real change? I see choreography not just as art, but as activism—a way to question, to unite, and to tell stories that matter.
In my classes, I focus on accessibility, cultural awareness, and anatomical understanding, inviting students to discover dance as both a disciplined craft and a deeply personal expression. Whether I’m teaching modern, ballet, jazz, or yoga, my goal is always to help movers trust their breath, honor their bodies, and move with intention.
Along the way, I’ve performed with companies like The Rockaway Theatre Company, The Rogue Dancers, and Wandering Movers in NYC, and choreographed for theater, opera, and concert dance. I’m also a Yoga Alliance E-RYT® 200, RYT® 500, RPYT®, YACEP® instructor and an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist, which allows me to integrate somatic awareness and injury prevention into every class.
At the heart of my work is a belief that dance isn’t just what we do with our bodies—it’s how we engage with the world around us. Through teaching, performing, and creating, I strive to cultivate spaces where every dancer feels seen, supported, and empowered to move boldly—on stage, in the studio, and beyond.
